    Joint Venture to Enhance Logistics and Shipping Services in Iraq

    Aramex, the global provider of comprehensive transportation and logistics solutions, announced today, Thursday, the launch of a joint venture in collaboration with the Ziad Khalaf Group, based in Abu Dhabi, to provide a comprehensive range of services aimed at supporting both local and international businesses in Iraq.

     

    A press release stated that "Aramex, the leading global provider of transportation and comprehensive logistics solutions, has announced the launch of a joint venture with Ziad Khalaf Group, headquartered in Abu Dhabi, to provide a comprehensive range of services that will support both local and international businesses in Iraq. These services include fast local and international shipping, as well as contractual logistics services.

     

    The partnership was signed in the presence of Mohamed Jumaa Al Shamsi, Chairman of Aramex, and CEO of Abu Dhabi Ports Group, and Ziad Khalaf, Chairman of the International Development Bank and Chairman of Ziad Khalaf Group. The signing ceremony took place at Aramex’s headquarters and was attended by executives from both parties.

     

    The release added, "The joint venture will support Aramex's efforts to strengthen its presence in Iraq and expand its pickup and delivery services by leveraging Ziad Khalaf Group's extensive presence in the local market and its access to over 7,000 points of sale across the country. This network will facilitate logistical operations and enhance their efficiency in more than 15 cities across Iraq."

     

    According to the statement, the partnership aims to "serve customers in Iraq, both businesses and individuals alike. This project will play a pivotal role in benefiting from new trade routes, facilitating trade exchange, and assisting businesses in entering new markets."

     

    Othman Al Jada, CEO of Aramex, stated in the press release: "We are pleased to collaborate with Ziad Khalaf Group to enhance our presence in the Iraqi market, which is rich in potential and promise.
